I’m obsessed imagining the items around us with luxury and fashion transforming them into something improved, fun and desirable. Creating a new context for the everyday to see everything differently, not how we are told or intended to see it. Using stencils and spray paint I incorporate aesthetics of street art while referencing a modern equivalent of silkscreen used by the late pop art hero’s. Each stencil or color is painstakingly cut by hand appreciating the human made and painted after a furious shake and push of a nozzle to control a blast of paint. I look for the future of what pop art is in our modern world and culture. Continuing to absorb our past and push these ideas further today.
